The author is guaranteed his genuine copyright. Authors and readers may share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format and adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material.

Users have to give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. The permission is strictly for noncommercial use,  use of the material for commercial purposes are only permitted with written permission from the editorial office. When material is used further, remixed, transformed, users must distribute the contributions under the same license as the original.

 

The German Journal of Sports Medicine (GJSM) encourages and supports the sharing of research data to promote transparency, reproducibility, and scientific collaboration. Authors are expected to make the data underlying their published results findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) whenever possible (Wilkinson et al., 2016).

The quality and completeness of shared data will be assessed during the peer review process, and reviewers will evaluate whether the shared data are consistent with the results reported in the manuscript.

During submission to GJSM, authors are asked to declare their data-sharing preference by choosing one of the following options:

1. Share data upon reasonable request: Data will be provided to qualified researchers upon justified request.
2. Share data after an embargo period: Data will be made publicly available after a defined time period to allow for proprietary or publication-related considerations.
3. Deposit data in a repository: Data will be stored in a recognized repository with a persistent identifier (e.g., DOI) and, where possible, made publicly accessible.

Authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript specifying the location, access conditions, and any restrictions for their datasets.
